The top 5 fashion and beauty products I found on Amazon this year
As a fashion and beauty writer, it’s in my job description to try a lot of products and to give honest reviews to help consumers make informed decisions. This year, I tried quite a few products, from drinkable beauty powders to brow stains to exosome treatments. Some of them didn’t live up to the online hype, but some of them really did impress me.
In my professional opinion, these are five of the best fashion and beauty products I tried in 2025.
A foundation that lives up to the hype
The second I opened this compact, I had flashbacks to high school. It legitimately looked like a pressed powder, and I thought there was no way it was going to provide adequate coverage for my dry, sensitive skin. However, I was so surprised—No Makeup Makeup really does deliver on its promise for a glowing, natural-looking finish. You don’t need to use a lot of product to get coverage, and it’s buildable. My favorite thing about the foundation, though, is that it is 100% free from allergens, including nickel.
A fabric shaver to please even the pickiest recipients
Nori has been a brand on my radar for quite some time, and I never splurged on the brand’s revolutionary iron. However, I have tried the fabric shaver, and I really do think that it performs better than other similar styles. I love that it came pre-charged (genius!) so I could battle one of my grossest sweaters immediately. Bonus—this is a really great gift for hard-to-please recipients like mothers-in-law, moms, sisters, and sisters-in-laws.
Revolutionary nail polish with built-in nail care
I am extremely devoted to Londontown as a nail polish brand, especially its Nail Veil line. It is so foolproof that even I, an ADHD, left-handed klutz, can do my own nails at home. And I love the sheer coverage. But the lakur line from Londontown has me just as jazzed—its full-coverage polish is hydrating, glossy, and easy to put on.
A sensitive skin-approved lip treatment
Everything about me is super sensitive, including my lips. I have lupus and am chronically dehydrated, so my lips can get really dry and cracked if I don’t take care of them. That makes lipsticks, glosses, and more really hard for me, which is a huge bummer when I want a little color on my lips. Tula’s Glaze Lip Treatment, though, goes on no problem for me. It gently plumps ever-so-slightly, glosses, and leaves my lips with a tiny hint of color. I love it so much that I keep one in every pouch I have.
A good-for-your-feet sneaker
Whoever decided that orthopedic shoes were trendy needs to win some sort of prize. I have been a devotee of this style of shoe for many years, but the steep price tag of other brands has always been hard to swallow. After discovering this podiatrist-approved sneaker online, I have to say I almost prefer it—the laces are pre-tied and stay that way, a crucial detail for busy moms on the go like me. When lined up next to my similar style sneakers, it is really hard to tell the difference (other than via logos, of course). If you love comfort and convenience, this is definitely an A+ sneaker in my book.
