The 5 Best Spring 2025 Fashion Trends To Wear This Season

With every fleeting moment of warmth from the glimpses of winter sunshine, I can’t help but get excited for the world to come alive again. The cold weather is beginning to thaw, making way for the eventual flowers to fully bloom—and with them, the best spring/summer 2025 fashion trends will be ready to shop.
FIND OUT MORE ON ELLE COLLECTIVE
Yes, the time has come to take those notes (and fantasies) from last September’s runway shows and make them a reality. To give you a head start on the must-know trends for the season ahead, we pulled together the best ones our team has spotted for you to start shopping now.
Higher Hemlines
In my humble opinion, there’s nothing quite as freeing as showing a little leg the moment the temperatures warm up. Sure, you might start with a peek of the ankle, but why give an inch when you can give a (metaphorical) mile? This spring is all about the miniskirt and playing with proportions, according to the SS25 runways, so get creative with your styling and pair your micro minis with a blouson jacket or something a little more voluminous during the transitional season.
Lingerie and Lace All-Over
I’m starting a petition for making the lingerie trend a year-round look, but until then, you can look forward to embracing it for your hot girl spring. Between artful corsetry and lace all over, there are plenty of ways to embrace this trend. In my humble opinion, you simply can’t go wrong with a classic camisole or slip dress, and a more structured corset top is perfect for a night out, too.
The Pastel Palette
Word around the ELLE office is that pastels are the colours of the season—and frankly, I’m not mad about it. We’re looking at icy blues, soft ballet pinks, buttercream yellows and pistachio greens. Are you ready for it? I know I am.
Picnic-Ready Plaids
Warm-weather plaids and ginghams? Sign me up. If you’re looking for a quintessential motif for the season, this may be one of the best to choose. Whether you opt for warmer shades of greens and reds or cooler tones of blue, this is a chic print that’ll have you basking in the sunlight in no time.
Beyond the Sea
Whether you plan to embrace the warmer weather by setting sail to the sea or you simply want to channel that energy with your sartorial choices, this season’s trends will have you covered. Nothing seems quite as classic as a Breton-striped T-shirt or even some lightweight linen pants. Of course, if you want to lean in even further, there are chic knits to serve as your outer layers for those salty breezes.
