We’ve spent a long time dreaming about what Zendaya’s engagement ring from Tom Holland would look like, should the couple become engaged—and now that our wishes have become reality (Holland proposed to the Dune actress over the 2024 holidays!) and our curiosities have been satisfied (he chose an east-west oval diamond from English jeweler Jessica McCormack, which the bride-to-be debuted on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet!), we’ve moved on to phase two. These days, we can’t stop wondering what Zendaya will eventually wear when she walks down the aisle. There’s just one problem: Zendaya and Holland are arguably one of the most private celebrity couples of our time. It took them years (and a few very obvious paparazzi photos) to confirm their romance—and to this day, they rarely walk red carpets together. Their penchant for privacy has many fans speculating that the couple is, in fact, already married, and that Zendaya is feeding the public tidbits of her and Holland’s life together on her own timeline.
Regardless of whether or not the duo has already tied the knot, it’s possible that we simply won’t ever know what Zendaya’s wedding dress looks like—but that hasn’t stopped us from making a few predictions of our own. As it turns out, wedding-dress designers feel the same way; when we tapped 10 of them for sketches of and theories about the actress’ future bridal gown, they had plenty of ideas (and lots to say). Interestingly, several of these creatives suggested similar silhouettes (body-hugging ensembles finished with voluminous overskirts), necklines (lots of halter predictions!), and overall aesthetic descriptions (words like “sculptural,” “architectural,” and “edgy” were common)—which makes sense when you consider the fashion icon’s personal and red-carpet style and the work of her longtime stylist Law Roach.
Ahead, discover what some of today’s leading bridal fashion designers think Zendaya might wear when she marries Tom Holland.

A Ball Gown With Some Edge
When drawing up their version of Zendaya’s dream wedding gown, the Pronovias Group Atelier team looked to her personal style and red carpet looks (“She isn’t afraid to go big or bold!” they say), which lean both sculptural and architectural. Their vision? “A Mikado silk ball gown with brocade details, a sweetheart neckline, a corset waist and cups with boning, and beautiful draping to drop the waist through the hip line,” the designers say. “Within the skirt, there’s a peekaboo front, so there’s an opportunity to add a small Swarovski crystal detail.”
The designers have a feeling the Challengers actress will opt for a more voluminous look for her and Holland’s ceremony and change into something slinkier for the party—“either a mermaid or mini gown with a detachable piece,” they say. Though they can’t know for sure what she’ll wear on her big day, they’re confident about this take: “Zendaya is the perfect example of someone who doesn’t need much to make a piece look good. We imagine she would want something that turns heads, but doesn’t overpower.”

A Drop-Waist Gown With a Story to Tell
“Zendaya is always full glam for red carpet and formal appearances, but for press or interviews, she tends to lean more classic and uncomplicated in her wardrobe,” reasons Esé Azénabor. “I think her bridal aesthetic will be fully in tune with her personal style: timeless, classic, and uncomplicated.” Azénabor took the actress’ signature style and the gown she wore to the 2025 Golden Globes—which “was a nod to Zelda Christian Barbour, a talented African-American designer known for her form fitting gowns that complemented the female figure,” explains Azénabor—into account when sketching this white silk Mikado drop-waist ensemble, complete with a full, sheer organza skirt; the gown’s peek-a-boo beaded cups and cross-over detail at the waist would also ensure that Zendaya’s figure was clearly defined. “I had [Christian Barbour] and the gown Zendaya most recently wore in mind with this design,” she shares. “She always has a story to tell in her looks, and this would definitely be a statement.”

A Daring Two-Piece
Sharon Sever, the head designer at Galia Lahav, wouldn’t be surprised if Zendaya wore a two-piece look, with a fitted crop top and voluminous skirt, on the aisle. She imagines her sketch coming to life in a luxurious duchess satin fabric, “chosen for its opulence and fluidity;” the draped details and soft pleats in the skirt would create dynamic, but elegant movement. “The ivory color adds a timeless bridal touch, while the fashion-forward design speaks to Zendaya’s trendsetting nature,” notes Sever.

A Royal-Inspired Lace Gown
Designer Idan Cohen pictures Zendaya wearing “a flutter soft mermaid silhouette with long sleeves, a high neck, and a structural, detachable train—all crafted from the same beautiful French lace,” he tells us. As for his reasoning? The actress regularly turns to Old Hollywood glamour (think Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly!) for both fashion and beauty inspiration, which makes this timeless silhouette and fabric type a strong contender. “I was actually inspired by the [orange Louis Vuitton gown] she wore to the 2025 Golden Globes. That look reminded me of Marilyn Monroe—and I combined it with Grace Kelly’s royal bridal gown,” he says.

A Hollywood-Meets-English-Countryside Halter Dress
According to British designer Sassi Holford, Zendaya might “take influence from English design, with Tom Holland being from Surrey,” when ideating her wedding dress. “These influences will certainly come from Zendaya spending more time in the UK and enjoying the English countryside and charm.” Of course, she’ll work in a touch of movie-star opulence alongside that bucolic romance.
Holford thinks that combination might look a little something like this: “I wanted to go with a clean aesthetic, as Zendaya never wears anything that is overly fussy. This also has strong lines and a contemporary edge. I have selected the finest silk tulle that has then been ruched into a bustier corset; this goes into a halter neckline that is elegant, but sexy,” Holford explains. A sheer silk tulle skirt, with a barely-there Chantilly lace underlay, would define Zendaya’s figure, which “adds to the romance of the day and gives the illusion of the silk tulle floating through air.”

A Backless, Minimalist Silk Moment With a Gemstone Collar
Lihi Hod agrees that Zendaya will opt for a halter style on the big day—but thinks her look will be a touch more daring (as opposed to romantic!) and feature a crystal collar and fully open back. “Zendaya’s aesthetic is a dynamic fusion of modern elegance, fearless experimentation, and effortless versatility,” she explains. “She seamlessly moves between high-fashion glamour and relatable street style, embodying a sense of individuality that consistently pushes the boundaries of conventional fashion.” Hod believes she’ll also strive for that balance on her wedding day, which is why she sketched out this silk halter wedding dress (the neckline would show off her graceful posture and the fabric is elegant, but understated, she says) with minimal embellishment. “With a backless or minimal design, the halter gown could balance boldness and sophistication, which is a combo Zendaya consistently masters,” Hod says. “She is known for her ability to transform minimalist designs into powerful statements.”

A Gown With a Plunging Neckline Fit for a “Warrior Queen”
Modern, nontraditional, and a little avant garde—that’s how Katie Yeung, the head designer of Hera Couture, describes Zendaya’s future wedding look. She envisions the actress walking down the aisle in a structural, body-hugging gown with a plunging neckline, corset bodice, high slit, and dramatic duchess satin overskirt with a cathedral-length train. Think “the silhouette of a warrior queen,” describes Yeung, who notes she’d use additional fabrics like Chantilly lace with subtle botanicals to bring this look to life. “Zendaya’s confidence radiates in everything she wears and her ability to transform her look and feel is so masterful,” she adds.

A Trend-Setting Gown With an Asymmetrical Skirt
Like many of the wedding-dress designers here, Ou Ma, the founder and creative director of OUMA, also believes that Zendaya will debut a gown with a full, dramatic skirt on her and Holland’s big day—and that she’ll likely set a few trends when she does. If she could dress the actress for the occasion, Ma would put her in an “asymmetrical taffeta gown with hand-manipulated pleats and folds that mold to her figure,” she explains, noting that the number would be complete with “a few streams of oversized ruffles that flow from the waist down to a leg slit” and that the skirt would have “tamed volume and a dramatic train in the back.” Zendaya making asymmetrical wedding skirts a thing in 2025 and beyond? We could see it!

A Mermaid Wedding Dress With Cut-Outs
Yuliia Lobachova, the creative director of Ricca Sposa, pictures Zendaya in a mermaid wedding dress with a little bit of edge—hence the twisted halter neckline and exposed boning underneath the bust. “Her bridal look will likely feature soft, feminine elements, like a flowing silk or a delicate train, but with unexpected, edgy details that add an individual touch—perhaps a dramatic neckline or bold cut-outs,” shares Lobachova, adding that the Valentino Couture dress she wore to the 2021 Oscars informed this dramatic, architectural ensemble. “This gown captures Zendaya’s unique style—bold, confident, and graceful—and combines modern design elements with timeless bridal beauty. It’s a dress that makes a statement while remaining sophisticated, allowing Zendaya to shine like the icon she is on her special day.”

A Refined Dress That Offers Something Different
Zendaya, if you’re reading this, Peter Langner has a wedding dress ready for you! He envisions the actress, “a true style icon of our time,” in the “Corinne” gown from his latest collection. “This gown speaks for itself: Its minimalist, architectural silhouette, both iconic and striking, is perfect for Zendaya,” he says. “I don’t imagine her choosing a look that’s overly romantic, filled with tulle and lace, or something overtly sexy. Instead, I see her in a gown with a clear, defined style—sculptural and precious in its construction.”
This gown is certainly that: Crafted in silk Mikado, the structured number has a fold-over neckline with some volume, a draped back, and timeless buttons at the waist. “We would love to see her in something different, yet extremely elegant and refined,” notes the designer. “A gown befitting a true diva and style icon—which Zendaya undoubtedly is.”
