Spotlighting Ananya Panday’s three looks you’ll want to recreate this upcoming wedding season

Ananya Panday never fails to serve a moment when it comes to channelling the desi diva aesthetic with effortless poise. Her recent sartorial choices for best friend Deeya Shroff’s wedding festivities were nothing short of spectacular — a seamless blend of nostalgia, craft, and contemporary glamour. From heirloom ensembles to handcrafted artistry, the Gen Z icon gave us three distinct looks that are setting the tone for the upcoming wedding season.

Heirloom revival in Rohit Bal

For Deeya’s engagement ceremony, Ananya turned to her family’s treasured archives — wearing an aqua-blue suit by the late designer Rohit Bal, once worn by her mother Bhavana Pandey over two decades ago. The sleeveless kurta featured a refined keyhole neckline and subtle golden embroidery, paired with a matching dupatta adorned with delicate borders and intricate gold motifs.

The ensemble exuded old-world charm, elevated by Ananya’s minimalistic styling — sleek, straight hair, statement earrings, and soft, radiant makeup. In a world obsessed with the new, her look was a poetic reminder that timeless elegance never fades.

Mirror magic in Mayyur Girotra

For the mehndi ceremony, Ananya dazzled in a striking black lehenga by Mayyur Girotra — a contemporary ode to India’s craft heritage. The voluminous skirt, rich with jewel-toned motifs and intricate mirror work, celebrated artisanal artistry through vibrant hand embroidery and bold thread detailing.

She paired the skirt with a mustard yellow high-neck blouse that added a fresh contrast, while gold and green jewellery brought in an opulent edge. The ensemble was completed with a traditional Bandhani dupatta in olive and deep purple hues, its mirror detailing and embroidery lending a festive, handcrafted charm.

A sleek braid, soft dewy skin, kohl-rimmed eyes, and a dainty black bindi added to her desi girl allure — equal parts playful and poised.

Teal temptation in Bhumika Sharma

For her final look, Ananya embraced modern etherealism in a breathtaking Jasma Lehenga Set from the House of Bhumika Sharma. The teal ensemble featured a halter-neck bustier delicately embroidered with silver threadwork, sequins, and beads, adding subtle shimmer without overpowering the refined craftsmanship.

The voluminous skirt cascaded in panels of teal, aqua, and olive, enriched with floral motifs and metallic accents that caught the light with every movement. Together, the pieces struck a delicate balance between contemporary sophistication and traditional grace.

Ananya completed the look with muted pink glossy lips, soft dewy makeup, teal eyeliner on the lower lash line, and an emerald choker with matching earrings — a perfect finishing touch to her modern-maharani moment.
