4 Designers Predict Selena Gomez’s Wedding Dress

And while we’re expecting a star-studded guest list (including the bride’s newly-engaged close friend, Taylor Swift), we’re also excitedly anticipating the gown the singer will select for her ceremony.

Throughout her years in the entertainment industry, Gomez has donned a number of fashion-forward ensembles—including an actual wedding dress in season three of Only Murders in the Building. This past year, she’s gravitated toward bold, statement-making gowns and Old Hollywood-inspired glamour. For the 2025 Golden Globes, she displayed her marquise-cut engagement ring with a blue off-the-shoulder dress from Prada. She opted for a similar neckline at the Academy Awards earlier this year, selecting a sequined piece from Ralph Lauren paired with Bulgari jewelry. With that in mind, they envision her in a ball gown featuring a halter neckline with a keyhole cutout, cinched waistband, full satin skirt, and cathedral train. “The halter neckline and clean satin finish reflect her love for minimal yet impactful design, similar to the sleek Prada and Louis Vuitton looks she’s worn,” they note, adding that the subtle cutout integrates a touch of sensuality. Focusing on clean lines and a sculptural silhouette, the classic piece is aligned with the actress’s typical fashion choices. “This gown captures Selena’s modern princess essence—romantic, polished, and subtly bold, making it a natural extension of her red carpet legacy into bridal couture,” the design team says.

A Romantic Take on a Structured Ball Gown

Shawne Jacobs, the creative director of Anne Barge, envisions Gomez in a structured-yet-romantic ball gown with a knotted bow at the neckline and a gathered waist. “This gown is romantic, confident and has the right amount of modern elegance for a timeless star like Selena,” she says. Beyond the strapless bodice, Jacobs envisions her in a classic, full skirt: an A-line silhouette with sweeping panels that come into an unexpected fold at the hip. To complete the singer’s ensemble, the designer would have her don long, classic gloves—a nod to the actress’s love for Old Hollywood glamour.

A High-Low Lace Dress With Floral Appliqués

When designing a dress for the “Lose You to Love Me” singer, Francesca Miranda took inspiration from the 1950s, sketching a high-low lace dress with floral appliqués. By pairing a full skirt with a fitted corset, Miranda made sure to include a nod to many of the actress’s famous red-carpet looks. “I wanted the flower appliqués to begin delicately at the top and gradually grow larger toward the hem, creating movement and drama,” she says. Short gloves and a dramatic veil complete Miranda’s vision for the actress.

A Timeless Multi-Look With Dramatic Details

Sharon Sever, the head designer at Galia Lahav, sees Gomez donning a timeless silk ball gown for her nuptials to Blanco. The addition of delicate French lace detailing and a statement diamond necklace to the look would transform the actress into “a regal princess.” Such an ensemble, which combines elegant accents and statement-making additions (including a subtle drop waist) with a classic silhouette and timeless features, is the perfect fit for a woman who is “the embodiment of a true star,” Sever says.

While the actress may select a regal ball gown for her wedding ceremony, Sever envisions the star changing into a sleek dress for her reception. Such a piece, which features a silk satin fabric and dramatic chiffon detailing, would allow Gomez to showcase her classic style aesthetic at the post-nuptial celebration. In terms of accessories, the designer would add a pair of drop earrings to the singer’s ensemble.
