Moment Woman Makes Horror Realization About Her Bridesmaid Dress at Wedding

A Nashville woman has gained viral attention after she discovered she had been wearing her bridesmaid dress wrong for the entire wedding.

The revelation came to light while having her picture taken with fellow bridesmaids when one of the women noticed something unusual.

“I was in the middle of taking pictures when one of the girls pointed out that my dress didn’t look quite right,” Amber Lingen, who shared the moment on TikTok, told Newsweek. “The ruffles were on the wrong shoulder, and that’s when I realized I’d been wearing it inside out the entire time.”

Despite the wardrobe mishap, the day continued without anyone else noticing the error—and later Lingen made a video about the moment that has been viewed over 400,000 times on TikTok.

In the video, she showed off the one-shoulder dress, telling the camera all about the mishap. “Nobody ever would have known!” exclaimed a fellow bridesmaid in the background.

The caption on TikTok read: “wore my bridesmaid dress wrong all day but still slayed.” The lighthearted post quickly resonated with viewers, who found the mix-up both relatable and amusing.

“I thought it would be a funny TikTok to show how I wore it backwards,” Lingen explained. “But you really couldn’t notice too much, so it was funny to see that you could wear it two ways without even realizing it. I’m shocked by the reaction—I had no idea it would go viral.”

In the comment section, TikTok users shared their reactions to the wardrobe mishap, even sharing their own outfit mistakes.

“I would’ve kept switching it all night to confuse everyone,” joked one TikTok user, while another could totally relate and said: “I have this dress from a wedding last summer, and it is very confusing to put on.”

One commenter shared their own outfit mistake and said: “I wore two different-sized hoops as a bridesmaid for my brother’s wedding in June. It was very obvious to everyone but me.”

This isn’t the first time a wardrobe mistake has gained viral attention. Earlier this year another TikToker went viral after she made a discovery about the shoes she had been wearing for weeks.

Amber revealed that she was wearing the slingback heels she purchased for her graduation all wrong, not putting the strap behind her heel but instead slipping it on top of her foot. “I’d never heard of a slingback until then,” Amber told Newsweek after her video went viral online.
